Advent and Christmas 2021
Sunday November 28th marks the beginning of the Advent season for 2021. We at NCBC have always considered this a wonderful time of the year! 2021 will be no different.
Sunday Worship Our theme for 2021 is “Images of Advent”. The Bible is full of imagery and symbolism concerning the person of Jesus Christ. As we celebrate His first advent, and look forward to His second, we will consider some of the images found in the book of Isaiah. In addition, we will add the element of lighting the candles of the Advent wreath. This year a responsive reading will be displayed on the screens so the entire congregation can be involved in the words we share around the meaning of each candle of the advent wreath. The sermons will be from the book of Isaiah.
November 28th: “The Mountain” Isaiah 2:1-5 December 5th: “The Branch” Isaiah 11:1-10 December 12th: “The Oasis” Isaiah 35:6-7 December 19th: “The Sign” Isaiah 7:1-14
